While living in the plains of Jianang, founder Helen Ho was captivated by Taiwan’s lush, green, and natural beauty. This inspired her to depart her work at an advertising agency to create 23.5°N whose mission is to “extract beauty from nature.” 23.5°N does this by sourcing a diverse array of crops from an astounding 368 of Taiwan’s townships throughout the year.
23.5°N is particularly selective about the quality of ingredients they use. Plants free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides are selected through a rigorous vetting process. Plants with high nutritious value are sought out rather than beautifully looking plants as a result of chemical use.
As soon as they are sourced from the origin, plants are sent to the extraction laboratory to preserve active ingredients and to avoid the degradation of freshness during the delivery process.
The name 23.5°N represents the latitude in which Taiwan lies. Taiwan’s unique geographical location is the reason why it is rich in all kinds of flowers, fruits, crops, and vegetables.
